Re: Every night listeners
Sat, April 29, 2006 - 2:31 PMI listen every night. Well, at least I turn on the radio and I might fall asleep. I do not listen when there is talk of the Grim Reaper. For some reason that just freaks me the hell out. There was a lady once that told of delivering papers in the early morning hours. The recipients of the paper like the paper in a certain place and she was on her way back in the car and felt a tap on her shoulder, turned around, saw the Grim Reaper and jumped in her car and sped away! Yikes! She went on to say the Grim Reaper runs up and down that row of houses every morning between certain hours. Oh. My. God. I would have a new job immediately! Or a different route! For some reason that story stayed with me for weeks, even though there have been much "scarier" topics on Coast to Coast!
Take care all,
Christine

Re: Every night listeners
Fri, October 13, 2006 - 4:43 AMWould the husband and wife (i assume) team that I met at Burning Man the night I was leaving (Sunday after the Belgian's "waffle" burn) - happen to be on this thread and just happen to be reading this posting? We met in front of the camp where the guy was trying to give away a whole watermelon.....what a wonderful discussion we had about C2C!
Wow, this is going to sound really weird to those of you who have no clue about Burning Man :)
I'm interested in knowing the names of the Coast to Coast guests who were at Burning Man this year.
Thanks.

Re: Every night listeners
Sat, October 14, 2006 - 9:36 AMMy primary does web-building to George; a little dip in the CtoC pool, coupled with the sorry state of Jazz radio, has caught me up with this show...I'd used to listen just to have coffee conversation with "chemtrail" grammas I'd do geriatric care for....something to pass night shift working in a treatment center in the desert, years ago (Man, is that not an Art aBell-ish image!)...now I appreciate what it does to help North America vent..and how it helps working people without boho options for conversation to keep thinking outside da box.
And I'm going to George's book signing tonight........

Re: Every night listeners
Sun, November 5, 2006 - 11:51 PMhi all... i'm brand new to coast to coast - my boyfriend introduced me to it ... he's listened for years... anyway i am an every night listener...
isn't it funny how different george and art are? george sounds like the dad i've always wanted and has a very soothing, gentle way of talking and interacting with his guests, callers and the subject matter... art, on the other hand, just hypnotises you with his speaking and his intensity and sense of the dramatic... art scares the pants off of me sometimes!!
as you can tell i am spellbound by this show and look forward to it every night... please note i tend to be pretty stoned while listening so it all takes on a bit of a psychedelic glow to it at some points...
in any case, i'm here and looking forward to talking to all of you out there about what we hear every night...

Re: Every night listeners
Tue, November 7, 2006 - 2:08 PMI have insomnia alot so I found this show, somehow. It blew me away that there are people discussing all this stuff I've been thinking about all these years. I thought I was just a "lone weirdo". It's great they have a website with links & downloads. What a great resource! I'm hooked!
PS to Bob (re: as you can see... no friends. ^_^). Maybe if you had a friendlier photo you'd get more friends...(?) The photo you have up now is kind of scary. You look like an FBI agent. ;-O -

Thu, November 9, 2006 - 11:11 PMHi Philip & Bob-
I live in NJ. Can you explain it to me? -

Re: Every night listeners
Sat, November 25, 2006 - 7:07 AMIt seems like a nice cozy nest between Deleware and Penn. Madison Township is particularly pleasant. Beyond that, personally I don't know why one would live there, 'cuz I've never tried..
Hey, I'm glad George opened "the Looney Line" on Turkey Day/Night. Most of the callers seemed m*o*r*e grounded than the Thanksgiving Dinner party I attended.
Happy Holidays, everyone! -

Re: Every night listeners
Sat, November 25, 2006 - 11:46 PMPhilip, I think you're refering to NJ (home of the Jersey Devil). There are a few reasons I ended up here. I have been in other parts of the world & there are some great places. I wouldn't mind moving somewhere else. Any suggestions?
